Three Major Areas of Outreach

Service and Innovation

  • Defines the primary and secondary services provided by network pharmacies
  • Defines the value of services as well as their impact on patients' health outcomes
  • Investigates other services performed by pharmacies for inclusion in network practice
  • Empowers network pharmacies to expand beyond the scope of traditional dispensing duties

Services as provided by network pharmacies are focused on quality patient engagement over the quantity of prescriptions dispensed.

Quality Assurance

  • Researches and publishes best practice guidelines for core services of the network
  • Determines simple and critical assessments for services provided by pharmacies
  • Evaluates network requirements and sets minimum standard for participation
  • Evaluates network pharmacies performance and relays to pharmacies how to improve

Quality is tantamount to maintaining and executing a successful, sustainable, and accessible network for both pharmacies and patients.

Network Communication

  • Markets the network to prospective pharmacies, local providers, and local payers
  • Communicates standards and guidelines to network and prospective pharmacies
  • Engages providers across the state the importance of working with network pharmacies
  • Coordinates care between third party ACOs and network pharmacies

Communication is critical to ensure that an enhanced pharmacy network maintains its standards and provides for all connected parties.
